Each of the songs composed by director/producer Candy Silva Cortez on this engaging CD was a labor of love created during her prolific career as a singer, composer and actress; her credits include the Universal Pictures 1981 release “Zoot Suit”, the accompanying soundtrack and composer for Songs of Love Foundation in New York.  The “It’s About Alex” CD  displays her versatility as a vocalist, (singing in Spanish, French and Japanese), and as composer of a variety of musical styles from Latin Rock and Cumbia, Soul, Pop, House Dance Mix, Inspirational to Country. The wonderful soundtrack for the film was written by Emmy Award Winner and Grammy Nominated Producer Allan Phillips All songs were recorded and produced by Allan at APM Studios in Carlsbad, California.
